A Multicultural Country—Malaysia

To some Taiwanese, Malaysia may be a big jungle which full of wild animals.  Teacher Wei Li said that some people even mistook the native as “the barbarians live in tree houses”; at least I’ve never had that kind of thought.  Actually, most of the places in Malaysia are towns or cities.  No rainforest, no monkeys, no piranha, only buildings made of concrete. The teacher told us that there are many races live together in Malaysia, such as Malaysian, Indian, Chinese, aboriginal, and so on.  Because these races have their own cultures, there are many holidays in a year.  How I wish to live in a country that have vacations all the time!  But at the thought of having classmates that speak different languages, I wonder how are we going to communicate?  Maybe that’s the reason why the people in Malaysia always have strong language skills. Before the lesson, I thought Taiwan is the only country that can be called “The Kingdom of fruit”, but as I saw so many kinds of fruit that I didn’t even know their names, I suddenly discovered how little I know about Southeast Asia.  If I have chance to go to Malaysia again, I would like to try those unknown fruits and compare with Taiwan’s.  I also can learn many cultures from different races, and explore my knowledge of the unknown part of Asia.
